In good hands

Our family is very hands on when caring for our new  English Bulldog litters!

Stage 1

Stage 1

Stage 1

Neonatal stage.

Birth to two weeks.

Our English Bulldog Puppies spend the majority of the first two weeks of life safe in our ICU incubator. They are surrounded by a constant source of warmth and humidity. They are weighed after feeding and supplemented as necessary. The first 24 hours of life puppies receive 3 sessions of plasma supplementation to support immune system and digestion.

Stage 2

Stage 1

Stage 1

Can last from age 2 to 3 weeks,

Puppies eyes and ears will open, and puppies slowly start to respond to light, movement and sounds around it. Puppies become a little more mobile during this period, trying to get its feet underneath it and crawling around. Puppies start to recognize mom and litter-mates. At this point puppies are moved to a safe living space that allows them room to roam and investigate their surroundings more. Puppies are wormed at two weeks. This is also the time that new owners can start to get to know their puppy some, name them, and spend time with them.
New English Bulldog parents will have to be patient!

Stage 3

Stage 1

Stage 3

3 to 4 Weeks

They Almost ready to meet the world stage lasts from 3 to about 4 weeks, and your puppy undergoes rapid sensory development during this time. Fully alert to his environment, he’ll begin to recognize family members. Puppies learn how to be a dog during this time, so it’s essential that they stay with their litter-mates. We begin to socialize each puppy at this stage. New families are encouraged to come over and play with their new puppy. At this stage our puppies are also introduced to “puppy sauce”.

Stage 4

Stage 4

Stage 3

4 to 7 Weeks
By five to seven weeks, all puppies need positive human interaction as he/she develops curiosity and explores new experiences.
From 3-4 weeks, your puppy begins the most critical social development period of its life – it learns social interaction with its littermates, learns how to play and bite inhibition.
We handle the pups daily, but never separate them from their litter mates. Puppies need to be left with their siblings until at least 8 weeks of age.

Stage 5

Stage 4

Stage 5

6 to 9 weeks

At 6 weeks we are working on weening the puppies onto puppy food so that they are eating proper solids when you take your new puppy home.

Puppies are introduced to several different surfaces, sounds and materials.

Stage 6

Stage 4

Stage 5

 Time to go home!!!!

Your new puppy will go home with 2 out of 4 of  his/her baby shots and from there it is the reasonability of the puppies new family to finish with the puppies last 2 boosters.

A new baby is always exciting. You have to take the proper steps necessary to keep them happy and healthy!

Birth to 2 weeks

  1.  The senses of touch and taste are immediately present after birth.
  2. The mother has the most influence over the puppy.

Transitional stage

Transitional stage

Transitional stage

  1.  Mother and litter-mates continue to influence a puppy’s behavior.

Almost Ready...

Transitional stage

Almost Ready...

To Meet The World!

  1. Puppies can meet there new family members
  2. We try to avoid loud noises or sudden changes during this period. Negative events can have a serious impact on personality and development right now.

The Overlap Stage

Almost Ready...

  1. Puppies that are removed from their litter too early frequently are nervous, more prone to barking and biting and have a more difficult time with socialization and training.
  2. We never discipline for play fighting, housebreaking mistakes or mouthing – that’s all normal behavior for a puppy at this stage.

New & exciting

  1. Puppies tend to be nervous in new surroundings. We allow the puppies to explore and learn at their own pace.
  2. Socialization is vital for puppies. It helps them learn to adapt better in new environments.
  3. We work on potty training! It makes bringing home a new puppy so much less stressful!

Going home!

  1. We will always be a call or text away to help all of our new families. We do not send our puppies home before 9 weeks of age.
  2. The proper papers will be sent home with each puppy as well as a list of what we use with our fur babies.
